Are you studying and interested in advising a social business?
Then our SEA:lab is just the thing for you. It’s a win-win concept – both for our students and our social businesses. SEA:lab stands for “SEA:laboratory” and for turning good ideas into even better ones.
SOLUTION-ORIENTED.
EFFECTIVE IMPLEMEMTATION.
TEAM-ORIENTED.
WHAT IS
SEA:lab
Every semester, we match social businesses with qualified students who work as a team to advise the client. We make sure to place our consulting students in interdisciplinary teams so that a wide variety of skills can be represented. This also means that you’ll have the opportunity to learn a great deal from your fellow students. Throughout the semester, you’ll be given methods and tools that will empower you to support your clients effectively.
WHO DOES
SEA:lab
Our SEA:lab is a cooperation combining the extensive practical experience of the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie with the expert knowledge of Munich’s two universities – the University of Applied Sciences (HM) (Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Gehra) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) (Prof. Oliver Alexy) – with whom the SEA:lab was jointly developed. Worth 5/6 ECTS credits, the seminar takes place every semester.
HOW TO ATTEND
SEA:lab
As a general rule, the seminar is on a first-come, first-served basis. It’s therefore best to apply early! Spots are limited to ensure that we can match you with a social enterprise. Applications may be submitted through participating professors. Find more information here. Students at the Technical University of Munich may only apply via the centralized seminar registration tool.
